From Typewriters to AI: A World (Wide Web) Apart

I remember it clearly.
I was a regional manager for a major pharmaceutical company, working from home with my “secretary”. And, when we sent our typed 'correspondence', we used our IBM Selectric typewriter.  Yes, I'm not kidding.

One day, the company IT guy flew out to install a computer, black screen with green letters and all. That was the beginning. Not because we were blazing trails, but because IBM stopped making typewriters.

Fast forward.
Today, we’re talking AI, real-time data, virtual collaboration, digital customer journeys and personalized automation.

On #WorldWideWebDay, I’m reminded that innovation doesn’t always start with vision, sometimes, it starts with necessity. But it moves fast when we’re open to change.

From clacking keys to quantum computing... what a ride!
